It is wise for homeowners to have an annual or biannual home maintenance walk through. These  inspections are informative and can bring maintenance issues to the home owners attention before a major issue occurs. I also put an itemized report together with picture and details that you can use as a task list. Get to know your home better and become informed so you can budget for future maintenance and upgrades.  Take advantage of my extensive experience seeing homes that haven’t been cared for properly, make sure your home isn’t one of them.

             MOLD TESTING

Mold is Everywhere. Mold spores are ubiquitous; they are found both indoors and outdoors. So, why be concerned? Mold is not usually a problem indoors—unless mold spores land on a wet or damp spot and begin growing.  As molds grow, they digest whatever they are growing on. Unchecked mold growth can damage buildings and furnishings; molds can rot wood, damage drywall, and eventually cause structural damage to buildings.  Mold can cause cosmetic damage, such as stains, to furnishings. The potential human health effects of mold are also a concern. It is important, therefore, to prevent mold from growing indoors.

Licensed and Insured professional home inspections. We walk through the property with you and educate you on the things we find while conducting the inspection. We inspect the home’s exterior, the condition of the roof system, the interior of the home including the electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems and many problem areas in between. Within 24 hours, you will receive a written report with useful pictures and descriptions of  findings. Clients are strongly encouraged to follow me around as this is a great time to learn about the property, whether it will be for personal or investment reasons.

Infrared (thermal imaging) is an advanced, non-invasive technology that allows the inspector to show homeowners things about their homes that can’t be revealed using conventional inspection methods. A thermal imaging inspection can help detect issues such as plumbing leaks; heat loss and air infiltration in walls, ceilings, floors, windows and doors; missing, damaged and/or wet insulation; water and moisture intrusion around penetrations and at the foundation and building envelope that could lead to structural damage and mold; and other structural defects that can lead to energy loss.
